Who Are we?

We are Linda French and Maxine Shear, best friends and sisters of the heart for twenty years. Together we've owned a full service tea salon, catering service, we've been event facilitators, presentatation mavens and, in general, partners in crime.

We are avid readers and writers, nature lovers, dog lovers and lovers of peace and tranquility in our homes and contentment and creativity in our daily lives.

About Tootsie The Peacock Peacocks symbolize Vision, Self Expression, Spirituality, Awakening, Integrity, & Freedom. In mythology the tail has the “eyes” of the stars.

We live about five miles apart in a small mountain community in the Western Sierras of California with our husbands and dogs. We have been best friends for over twenty years. Since beginning our partnership in the tea business that began about fifteen years ago, we have experienced many ups and downs, successes and failures, potholes in the road and smooth sailing on calm seas. It's been an adventure. We now enjoy the peace and tranquility of mountain living and wish to share some of those moments with you, along with our love of cooking, nesting, nature and adventure.
